Hyde Park is consider among one of the best city park in the world, and for good reason.
Spanding over 350 acres with 4,000 plus trees, An Ornamental Flower garden, A huge Lake and a Meadow.
No matter what type of activity you like doing, Hyde Park has something for you.
You’ll be able to go swimming, boating, cycling and skating. There are fields for team games, tennis courts to enjoy, tracks for horse riding and a spectacular children’s playground for the kids.
One of the two restaurants inside the park itself is The lakeside bar and Kitchen. All the food is locally sourced when they can and let me tell you something that makes a huge difference!
To my surprise I seen Heinz baked beans on the menu! (If Yunz don’t know I am from Pittsburgh or what we like to call “The Burgh”) So I had the Full English breakfast after our walk threw the park and and let me tell you the baked beans was a great addition to the meal!
Never would have I thought of serving them with breakfast being from the states and all.
I also suggest the coffee at the very least excellent brew there. And the prices are reasonable.
IF I recall Ferry Meadow was the name of this place not 100% sure we called it, The Lakeside Restaurant.
