The Royal Mews, Buckingham Palace
British Royal Heritage is a major draw for tourists, however UK residents will also enjoy a visit to The Royal Mews. Afterall it is home to the most beautiful carriages in the world.
You will get the chance to get up close and personal with the Gold State Coach and the Diamond Jubilee State Coach. Seeing the Queen in the coaches on television is one thing but viewing them up close and personal will prove an awesome experience. You even get the chance to try out a Royal Carriage. Some children go all out for the occasion and even dress up which makes out for a fantastic photo.
The Royal Mews is essentially a working stable. Interestingly, the Queen has named all of her horses with their names on display. A major responsibility of The Royal Mews is to organise all road travel arrangements for the Royal Family.
There are many experiences on offer from guided tours to tacking up a wooden pony. Children are well catered for.
